Andrew Liu Director, PrescribeITTM Service Management, Canada Health Infoway
Andrew Liu is the Director, PrescribeITTM Operations and Service Management, responsible for PrescribeITTM Service Design, Delivery, Implementation and Operations. Andrew's past role at Infoway was Technical Solutions Director/Manager, his major achievements in Interoperability Solutions include Infoway Gateway Terminology Service, MessageBuilder(HL7 V3 and CDA API tool), MessageRemixer, InfoCentral, INFORMs, etc. Prior to joining Infoway, Andrew worked at Merge Healthcare(part of IBM Watson) for over 12 years, in the capacity of Engineering Director. Andrew was responsible for the development of several product lines at Merge, including RIS/PACS, web based imaging viewer, Mammography viewer and DICOM/Imaging software toolkits. Andrew Liu's educational background is M.Sc. in Computer Science, he is TOGAF 9.1 certified Enterprise Architect, ITIL v3 certified practitioner. He sits on SNOMED CT International Tooling Advisory Board, also a HL7 Canada named voter from 2013 to 2015.
Dean Matthews e-Prescribing Business Operations Lead, Canada Health Infoway
Dean has more than 28 years of experience in software development for the health care industry. Over the course of his career, he has worked for pharmacy vendors, EMR vendors and a provincial health ministry. This exposure has enabled Dean to develop a deep understanding of the health care standards for the medication domain. For the past eight years, Dean’s focus has been on electronic prescriptions. He was a key member of the Alberta Health PIN team that deployed the Alberta e-Prescribing pilot in 2012, and he has been a subject matter expert on Infoway’s PrescribeITTM team since 2015.View Online
