Diffusion of Health Mobile Apps and Smart Devices in Canada

Description:

Results of a nationwide survey on the adoption of health mobile apps and smart connected devices in Canada. With a representative sample of 4,109 Canadian adults, this is one of the largest surveys on the use of consumer digital health. The study, which was sponsored by Canada Health Infoway, was under the responsibility of a research team based at HEC Montreal and CEFRIO. Data was collected via Nielsen's web panel between January 11 and February 2, 2017.

Guy Paré is a Full Professor of Information Technology Management and holds the Research Chair in Digital Health at HEC Montréal. His work has appeared in top-ranked scientific journals and presented at several international and national conferences. Professor Paré’s expertise in digital health has attracted media attention and been sought by numerous organizations including the World Health Organization, the Department of Health in France, Canada Health Infoway, INESSS, and the Québec Ministry of Health and Social Services. He was elected a member of the Royal Society of Canada in 2012.
