The Infoway Evaluation Services team works with its partners to assess the impact of digital health projects and whether objectives have been achieved with our investments. These evaluations help Infoway and its partners understand how our investments are impacting Canadians and the health care system and help us improve projects for the future.
As part of the planning process of a new project, the project team uses the Benefits Evaluation Framework and supporting tools and resources to design an evaluation plan. After an investment project wraps up, the project team uses the information collected throughout the project period to create a report that evaluates the implementation of the solution, the adoption of that solution and the resulting impacts.
In the 2016-2017 fiscal, the Evaluation Services team and its partners produced almost 30 benefits evaluation (BE) reports and spearheaded many other BE-related activities, such as journal articles, surveys, data contribution and more.
