2016 has been a busy year for PrescribeITTM.
Since Infoway began working on a multi-jurisdiction e-prescribing solution, we’ve had more than 150 meetings with key stakeholder groups, including provinces, territories, vendors, retail pharmacy, prescribers, regulators, privacy experts, insurers and patients.
The result? Alberta and Ontario have committed to work with Infoway to launch PrescribeIT while Nova Scotia and other provinces have expressed interest in integrating PrescribeITTM into their planning cycles.
We were also proud to participate in Health Canada’s Opioid Conference and sign the Joint Statement of Action to Address the Opioid Crisis. Secure electronic transmission of prescriptions that can’t be easily altered or forged is an important part of Canada’s action plan.
For more information on our progress, read our 2016 in Review report. We look forward to an equally busy 2017!
