Practimax Version 6.1.1 Achieves Canada Health Infoway Certification

(Toronto, ON) - Canada Health Infoway (Infoway) and Dymaxion Research Limited announced today that Practimax Electronic Medical Record (EMR) version 6.1.1, has achieved Infoway's J-class, Laboratories certification, which demonstrates that it conforms to national and international standards for privacy, security and interoperability.

"The certification process requires an application to undergo an assessment to demonstrate that it meets a specific set of standards set by Infoway Certification Services," says Richard Alvarez, President and CEO, Canada Health Infoway. "We applaud Dymaxion for meeting those standards and achieving Infoway J-class, Laboratories certification."

"In 2003 we chose Practimax as the best available solution for our academic family practice," says Dr. Stewart Cameron, Associate Professor at Dalhousie University Department of Family Medicine. "Infoway certification was an important validation that Practimax is continuing to be a state-of-the-art product in a rapidly developing field. It is also a critical step in maintaining connectivity with our provincial information system."

Infoway's strategic efforts to hasten EMR adoption and use at the point of care, both in community and out-patient care settings, leverage and connect to the work that has already been done to build electronic health record systems.
