“Interest in e-booking is high yet only a few clinics in Canada currently offer the service,” explained Richard Alvarez, president and CEO, Canada Health Infoway. “E-booking is convenient for patients and there is value for health care providers, a win-win that we also see with other types of consumer digital health solutions.”
Launching on April 2, 2014, the Infoway e-Booking Initiative encourages eligible licensed physicians and nurse practitioners in community-based or ambulatory care settings to adopt e-booking and offers financial support to help offset costs associated with implementation and participation.
The e-Booking Initiative registration period is from April 2, 2014 through June 30, 2014, and wave one of the initiative runs through June 30, 2015. To learn more or to register, visit infoway-inforoute.ca/e-booking.
