Health Quality Innovation Collaborative’s Patient Health Portal Solution Achieves Canada Health Infoway Certification

(Toronto)Canada Health Infoway (Infoway) and Health Quality Innovation Collaborative (HQIC), announced today that miDASH patient health portal has achieved Infoway’s Consumer Health Application certification.

“This certification exhibits that the product meets pan-Canadian standards for privacy, security and interoperability which helps improve patient safety and health system efficiency,” says Dennis Giokas, Chief Technology Officer, Canada Health Infoway. “Congratulations to HQIC for achieving national class certification for the miDASH patient health portal.”

In order to achieve certification, HQIC underwent an assessment process to demonstrate that it met the standards set by Infoway’s Certification Services.

“We are excited for the miDASH patient portal to be certified by Canada Health Infoway,” says Dr. Sanjeev Goel, Founder of HQIC. "This demonstrates to both clinicians and patients that miDASH meets standards for efficiency and security in consumer health solutions.”

miDASH has 350 clinician users in Ontario and 1 million patient records are automatically updated daily which helps provide patients and doctors with the most up-to-date information each time the portal is used. The miDASH solution works across all major EMR platforms to empower patients by giving them access to lab results and providing the ability to securely view and book appointments and request medication refills online, from the comfort of their own home.
