Briefing Session: pan-Canadian Interoperability Specifications

Event date: February 2, 2022
Briefing Session: pan-Canadian Interoperability Specifications

12-1 p.m. ET

The increasing virtualization of care as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the urgency to address barriers to digital health, including the key area of interoperability. Extensive consultations have identified patient summaries as an interoperability priority. Infoway has been collaborating with stakeholders on a pan-Canadian Patient Summary (PS-CA) specification. The PS-CA’s harmonized “building blocks” will align to the International Patient Summary while addressing necessary jurisdictional variances.

At this virtual briefing session, we will discuss progress on the specifications to date, details about the public review cycle and benefits for participants. We encourage you to register in advance. Public review of the specification will run from January 28 through February 14, 2022.

Your participation in the review cycle will help shape the pan-Canadian standard and accelerate their readiness for implementation.
