Position Purpose

As a member of the Connected Care Team, the Senior Manager Change Management (CM) & Adoption will support delivery and implementation of the coordinated national change management approach in support of Infoway Digital Health Interoperability (DHI) and Connected Care (CC) key initiatives.

Major Responsibilities

Supporting the delivery of an integrated approach to change management, clinical engagement and adoption, and continuous quality improvement through the Change Program, its projects and activities:

  • Work closely with key partners, both internally and externally, to identify needs and opportunities for change management.
  • Enable the achievement of strategic DHI & CC initiatives by assessing the risk, scale, and impact of the change, working to identify partners and impacts, creating, and implementing change management strategies to maximize clinician adoption and usage, and supporting responses to change.
  • The role will strive to affect and encourage adoption, increase utilization of and proficiency with relevant changes that impact clinicians, thereby increasing benefit realization, value creation and the achievement of results and outcomes.
  • Lead select aspects of project plans and working groups as required.
  • Provide advice and subject matter expertise to participating jurisdictional partners on change strategies and plans and provide feedback on major deliverables based on experience from other implementations.
  • To the extent project timelines permit, assess, and monitor the effectiveness of change management activities and deliverables as aligned with project plans; track specified performance targets; identify issues and promote solutions.
  • Evaluate opportunities to share learning across participating jurisdictional partners and delivery of content for toolkits and other knowledge exchange approaches.
  • Contributes to a strong, cohesive Connected Care team, to build an integrated pan-Canadian approach to change management and adoption of digital health solutions:
    • Works collaboratively with team members to align Change Management approach to national Clinical Adoption program strategies and objectives (e.g. peer networks, clinicians in training, CIDH activities).
    • Participates in team activities and cross-functional strategic planning.
    • Leads select projects and working groups as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 10 plus years relevant change management experience, with at least 4 years being healthcare related.
  • Experience leading and managing large scale and/or cross-sector change management initiatives and activities.
  • Relevant Bachelors degree in nursing, Health Administration, Health Information Sciences, Business or equivalent a strong asset.
  • Regulated Nursing Professional Designation an asset.
  • Recognized change management or related certification an asset.
  • Experience with project work, digital health solution implementation, evaluation and optimization
  • Results oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks within tight timelines.
  • Strong partnership development and relationship management skills, including ability to operate in changing contexts and environments.
  • Knowledge of key issues in Canada’s healthcare system
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to promote leading practices (i.e. through publications, presentations and facilitation)
  • Facilitation and coordination skills to work with and manage diverse stakeholders to gain consensus and make progress against common objectives.
  • Bilingual skills, French and English, is an asset.
  • Ability to travel up to 10 - 15% of time.
  • Proven collaboration skills and ability to leverage or create unity, build long-term relationships based on respect, civility and trust, assuming good intentions when faced with challenges, discussions, and conflict.
