Chair, C.M., C.D., Former Deputy Minister of Health and Wellness for Nova ScotiaDr. Peter W. Vaughan is a member of the Order of Canada and former Canadian Forces Colonel Commandant. He has been Chair of Infoway’s Board of Directors since March 1, 2017. He was Deputy Minister of Health and Wellness for Nova Scotia, and President and Chief Executive Officer of the South Shore District Health Authority. He has been Secretary General and CEO of the Canadian Medical Association, President of WebMD Canada, an RCAF flight surgeon, general practitioner, emergency physician, and social entrepreneur. Dr. Vaughan has an Honours Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Guelph, a Doctor of Medicine from McMaster University, and a Master of Public Health from The Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. He completed the Queen’s University School of Business Executive Program and the Rotman ICD.D Directors Education Program at the University of Toronto.

Jocelyne (Jo) Voisin

Assistant Deputy Minister, Health Policy Branch, Health CanadaJo returned to Health Canada in 2020 to support Canada’s efforts to fight COVID-19 after two years working in youth employment policy. In her 10 years working at Health Canada, she was instrumental in the negotiation of the Common Statement of Principles and health agreements with provinces and territories in 2017, focused on funding for home and community care, and mental health and addictions. She occupied several executive leadership positions, including in federal-provincial-territorial relations, health product regulation, horizontal policy and public health. Jo also worked in social policy at the Privy Council Office, and in economic policy at Treasury Board Secretariat and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada.

Megan Hunt

Deputy Minister of Health, Government of NunavutPrior to joining the Government of Nunavut, Ms. Hunt held the role of Executive Director of Primary Care and eHealth with the First Nations Health Authority in northern BC.
Over the past 21 years, she has built her expertise in digital health, Indigenous and Western team-based primary care, medical affairs and child and family services. She has also had the honour and privilege to work with First Nations communities, elected and hereditary leaders, Regional Health Authorities, the Ministry of Children and Family Development, First Nations Inuit Health Branch, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions and many more.
Ms. Hunt recently moved to Iqaluit from northern BC, where she was a guest on the beautiful and traditional territory of the Lehdli Tenneh people for over 21 years. Her spouse and children are proud members of the Nakazdli First Nation and Nisgaa Nation and belong to the Frog and Eagle clans.

Michael Hillmer

PhD, Assistant Deputy Minister, Digital and Analytics Strategy Division, Ministry of Health/Ministry of Long-Term Care, Government of OntarioMichael has been part of the Ontario Public Service since 2007. In his current role, he also leads the Digital Health and Information Management Strategy and Policy branches. The Health Data portfolio oversees data collection, integration and management services to maintain a trusted foundation of high-quality health data. The Health Analytics portfolio generates trusted and actionable insights that improve the sustainability and quality of the health care system. The data and digital health portfolio is responsible for setting policy, strategy and investment management directions that help deliver the benefits of digital health to Ontarians and drive responsible use of health data for the public good.
Michael is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, and his academic background includes graduate degrees from the University of Toronto and a BSc from Carleton University.

Dana MacKenzie

Deputy Minister, Department of Health and Wellness, Government of Nova ScotiaDana was appointed to the role of Deputy Minister of The Department of Health and Wellness on January 22, 2024.
Dana has previously served as the Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs with responsibility for Trade, the Associate Deputy Minister of Justice, and the Associate Deputy Minister of the Office of Citizen Centered Approaches. She was Nova Scotia’s Secretary to the Executive Council from 2018 to 2021.
She previously worked as a senior solicitor at Nova Scotia’s Department of Justice, at the private bar, and at Bell Aliant.

Shannon Malovec

Executive Vice President, Provincial Digital Health and Information Services, Provincial Health Services AuthorityShannon is a highly skilled health informatics leader, passionate about transforming health care through patient engagement and experienced in strategic planning, portfolio/program management, and systems implementation.
In her current role, Shannon works with the Ministry of Health and the BC Health Authorities to drive digital health advancements in the province.
Previously, she was Principal, Patient Engagement at TELUS Health where she led the strategy development, product management, delivery management and operations for patient facing applications, including Personal Health Record, Home Health Monitoring and EMR Portals. She also led the execution of major health transformation initiatives and was responsible for the delivery of consulting services.
Shannon has also worked with various health care organizations, hospitals and private sector IT companies in Toronto, New York and Illinois where she was involved in the planning and implementation of a variety of clinical solutions.

Marc-Nicolas Kobrynsky

Assistant Deputy Minister, Ministry of Health and Social Services of QuebecMarc-Nicolas Kobrynsky is Assistant Deputy Minister in the Strategic Planning and Performance Branch.
The mission of this general directorate aims to respond to a change in the government paradigm which is reflected in the significant accountability of all government actors. It must also see to the development, updating and dissemination of tools and periodic monitoring reports as well as the production of strategic analyses, so as to facilitate the effectiveness of government decision-making. It is responsible for all consultations with partners of the Ministry of Health and Social Services in this area.
Mr. Kobrynsky holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Operations Management from HEC Montréal, and a Master of Science in Management with a specialization in Management from the London School of Economics. A manager for 18 years, he worked, between 2004 and 2018, for the Createch Bell Canada Group, then for Sun Life Canada, as a project director and senior consultant. From 2018 to 2020, he was Senior Director — Consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). He also held the position of principal researcher for the Bulletin of the Ministries of the news outlet L’actualité. It was in March 2020 that Mr. Kobrynsky entered the Quebec public service. He was appointed Assistant Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Health and Social Services.

Vice Chair, CPA, C.Dir.Barb Hambly has extensive experience as an executive health leader. She was VP, Public Affairs, with LifeLabs Medical Laboratories. Prior to that she was VP with Alberta Health Services, and held a variety of roles with its predecessor health regions including Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President, Human Resources. Barb has an accounting designation with the Chartered Professional Accountants of B.C., a Masters of Business Administration from Royal Roads University, and is a Chartered Director (C.Dir.). She also has extensive executive education from Harvard Business School, University of Michigan, London School of Economics and the University of Toronto. She sits on the Board of Alberta Public Laboratories and Chairs the Board of Make-A-Wish Canada.

Dr. Eric Hoskins

MD, DPhil, FRCPC, OC, MSCEric is a medical doctor with a DPhil in Community Medicine (public health and epidemiology) from Oxford University and has spent nearly four decades in the health sector.
A Rhodes Scholar and Order of Canada recipient, Eric has worked in health systems in Canada and around the world. He was Ontario’s Minister of Health (2014-2018) and Minister of Economic Development and Trade (2012-2014). In 2018-2019, Eric was Chair of the Federal Advisory Council on the Implementation of National Pharmacare. He is a Partner at Maverix Private Equity.

Dr. Jane Brooks

MD, PhD, MBAJane Brooks has been a family doctor and emergency room physician in both Nova Scotia and British Columbia for over 20 years. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Immunology and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Dalhousie University and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Western University. Throughout her whole career, she has been a preceptor and professor for students from Dalhousie University and Acadia University in medicine and immunology. Over many years, she has developed extensive Board and committee experience with the Canadian Medical Association, Doctors Nova Scotia, Dalhousie University, Annapolis Valley Health and the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness where she has served on health human resources, financial, governance and policy committees to name a few.

Richard Jock

Chief Executive Officer, First Nations Health AuthorityRichard Jock is a member of the Mohawks of Akwesasne and serves as the Chief Executive Officer for the First Nations Health Authority.
Richard's portfolio includes Health Benefits, policy, planning, engagement, service improvements/integration, investment strategies and regional partnership implementation. His position also provides leadership for the building, functioning and implementation of strong partnerships within the First Nations health governance structure and within the health system more broadly.
Richard has worked for the past 25 years for First Nations organizations and the federal government, including numerous positions in the health field. Immediately prior to joining the FNHA, he held the post of Chief Executive Officer for the Assembly of First Nations (AFN). Among his other professional roles, Richard has held senior leadership positions at Norway House Health Services Incorporated, Health Canada, the National Aboriginal Health Organization and Mohawk Council of Akwesasne.

Jason Ding

Before joining Entos, Mr. Ding served as a Partner and Senior Managing Director in Deloitte’s investment banking practice and as the National Life Sciences & Healthcare M&A Leader. He has worked with start-ups, large public companies, and global consulting companies and has been an investor and a Board member for numerous organizations. Jason is a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta (FCPA, FCA), a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV), and the Rotman ICD.D designation with the Institute of Corporate Directors. He received his BSc. and BCom. from the University of Alberta.

Éloïse Gratton

She advises corporations across multiple sectors on a wide array of privacy compliance, crisis and risk management, cyber incidents, ethics, data governance matters and the evolving area of artificial intelligence. Éloïse also represents clients on privacy regulatory investigations. Éloïse also offers strategic support to Canadian and international clients. Éloïse has authored several books in the privacy law area used in law courses and cited by academic journals and landmark privacy decisions of the Supreme Court of Canada. Éloïse serves as a member of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Innovations & IP Committee and has testified before parliamentary committees on information, privacy, and technology and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors. Éloïse was recently honoured by Canadian Lawyer magazine as a forward thinker and selected twice as one of the country’s 25 most influential lawyers, as well as selected as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Influential Women by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN) in the “CIBC Trailblazers & Trendsetters” category.

Michael Green
President and Chief Executive Officer
Michael Green has been President and CEO of Infoway since 2014. He is a strong leader and a creative, strategic thinker who has an international reputation and a proven track record of transforming health care through the use of digital health. He has held senior executive roles with health technology companies spanning major global markets, and he has leveraged international research and innovation to advance the digital health agenda, create jobs and stimulate economic growth in Canada. He was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 for his contribution to the Canadian Health IT industry, and received the ICD.D. designation in 2017. He serves on the Board of Directors of Kids Help Phone and HIMSS North America.

Abhinav (“Abhi”) Kalra
Executive Vice President, Connected Care, Canada Health Infoway
Abhi joined Infoway in 2020 to advance our mission of building a modernized, connected, and collaborative health system by unlocking the value of health data. Under his leadership, Infoway is executing its multi-year pan-Canadian strategy to advance our connected care system through the execution of Digital Health Interoperability program.
Abhi held key leadership roles across North America, Europe & Asia with large corporations like Shoppers Drug Mart, Oracle, and General Electric. In these roles, Abhi has built long range strategy, executed large scale multi-year transformational programs, and driven revenue growth and operational efficiency by introducing new technology products and building innovative digital solutions.
Abhi has an executive MBA from Northwestern University, and bachelor’s degrees in computer engineering and arts (honors) from Delhi University. He also holds PMP, CMMI and ITIL certifications.

Angela Jonsson

Angela joined Infoway in 2019 to accelerate the adoption of digital health solutions, advancing our mission of ensuring all Canadians have equitable access to excellent health care and health information. Through her leadership, Infoway is now mobilizing stakeholders from across the country to advance connected care and deliver a world-class, modernized healthcare system for all Canadians.
Prior to joining Infoway, Angela has worked in increasingly senior positions within all levels of Canadian government, member-based associations, and educational institutions. Angela has also served in a variety of senior leadership roles for election campaigns across Canada and the USA, volunteers regularly tutoring and mentoring high school students, and is an active member of various not-for-profit organizations.
Angela has a degree in Public Administration from Toronto Metropolitan University, Political Science from the University of Toronto and holds certificates from Harvard Kennedy School in Public Leadership and Negotiation & Decision Making.

Tracy Curnuck

Tracy joined Infoway in 2024 to advance our mission through our most important asset – our People. Tracy is responsible for leading our People and Culture strategy which includes organizational design, talent, engagement, and development.
Prior to joining Infoway, Tracy held a series of Human Resources (HR) leadership and executive roles spanning a diverse range of private organizations and non-profits including digital healthcare technology, community-based healthcare, hospitals, agriculture, and international development. She is a versatile leader and coach focused on delivering long term business value through strategic leadership, developing engaged teams, and enabling execution.
Tracy’s volunteer contributions to healthcare delivery throughout her 20+ years of HR expertise include Board and committee roles where she advised on talent strategies, operational efficiencies, organizational design and transformation, governance, policy and the elevation of employee services.

Ian Lording is the Vice President, Health Solutions and Operations at Canada Health Infoway, and leads PrescribeIT® – Canada’s multi-jurisdictional electronic prescribing service. Ian has more than 25 years of industry experience in a variety of organizations encompassing procurement, supply chain, IT, pharmacy services and retail operations. From the early days of creating a pre-Internet bulletin board service at the age of 13, to becoming a licensed pharmacist in 1998, his goal and passion continues to be focused on better leveraging digital solutions to improve health outcomes for all Canadians.
