For many Canadians, organ transplantation is a lifesaving procedure that is the best available or only treatment for end-stage organ failure. Yet many Canadians – more than 200 a year – will die waiting for an organ. And depending on where you live in Canada, your access to organ transplantation services may be better or worse than those living in other jurisdictions.
Since 2019, Canada Health Infoway and the Canadian Institute for Health Information have been co-leads of a pan-Canadian initiative to create a modernized, ODT data management and performance reporting system. This project continues to be informed and shaped by extensive consultations with clinician, patient and family stakeholders from across the country.
Join Mark Nenadovic and Jeff Green to learn how this multi-year project’s use of enabling technologies, data and information will drive system improvements in Canada’s ODT services.
