Nova Scotia Can Now Deliver Negative COVID-19 Lab Results Via Email

June 3, 2020 – Patients in Nova Scotia who are tested for COVID-19 can now opt to receive their results via email. The provincial government, with support from Canada Health Infoway, will now give patients who visit primary assessment centres for COVID-19 tests the option to provide their emails in order to receive negative results.

When patients register at a primary assessment centre, where they are referred by 811, patients can choose to provide an email. If they opt in, patients who test negative will be notified by email. These emails will include links where patients can sign in using their health card number to review their results. They will also be given information to understand what they need to do next.

All positive test results for COVID-19 will continue to be delivered by phone. Those who choose not to provide an email will also receive their test results by phone.
