Industry Mobilization
Overview
One of the keys to realizing the vision of a more connected and collaborative health system is engaging with and convening industry leaders who are at the forefront of developing innovative technological solutions.
We are actively working with these stakeholders to strengthen the ecosystem in which we operate and enhance the partnerships that drive our initiatives forward.
Industry Collaborative
Our Industry Collaborative is an initiative designed to foster meaningful partnerships between the public and private sectors and accelerate the development and adoption of innovative health solutions. The initiative also aims to create an avenue for digital health industry partners to learn about progress on interoperability and provide insights to support the effective implementation of Roadmap priorities.
The Industry Charter, a list of guiding principles created by the Industry Collaborative, articulates a shared vision for Connected Care and is intended to be embraced by Canada’s health technology partners, providers, and federal, provincial and territorial governments.
Early Implementer Program
The Early Implementer Program is a framework to support industry stakeholders in adopting Pan-Canadian standards. The program is currently focused on supporting the Patient Summary initiative via the PS-CA specification, but additional initiatives will be available in the future.
Vendor Innovation Program
The Vendor Innovation Program is designed to support industry partners and vendors in advancing innovative interoperability solutions that tackle persistent challenges in Canada’s health system. By incentivizing innovation, the program encourages vendors to create solutions that go beyond standards, addressing critical barriers to seamless data exchange. Ultimately, these efforts aim to enhance healthcare delivery and improve outcomes for all Canadians.
